If being overweight makes you a bad Doctor what does an anoerxic do for you? Great Man, experienced, in the field for over 40 years. Maybe stupid people get on his nerves when YOU know why your fat. YOU know they always require blood work for the next visit. Maybe you should take your Mom’s with you next time.
My husband started seeing Dr. Goren for his type 2 diabetes after a couple years at another practice that, despite several med changes, just couldn't get his A1c down. Dr. Goren had him straightened out in no time. Hubby has been a patient for years now.
I had open heart surgery in 2013 and it threw me into diabetes. I left the hospital taking several shots of insulin a day. They wanted me to follow up with the same practice my husband had left, but i went to see Dr. Goren instead. He immediately took me off the insulin. I take metformin instead.
As far as we're concerned, Dr. Goren is the BEST. We've moved from the area but continue to see him twice a year.
Dr. Goren is a very smart doctor and he takes time to answer patient questions. The office could be more organized, but I suspect that Dr. Goren is hands off about office administration and instead spends his time concerned about his patients and their well being.
I was recommended to Dr. Goren by another doctor who has a family member that used him. So far I have had nothing but good interactions with him. He seems to look at the lab work closely and takes the necessary steps to diagnose a problem you are having. I will say that the office in Colmar needs a major update and the wait can be a bit of a pain but worth the wait if you get a doctor that will listen to what you think about your own body. I am not the best controlled diabetic due to laziness mostly but I do things that work for me and he works with me to get my numbers where they need to be. Since first seeing him, my A1C has lowered and I have gotten a better overall control of my disease. Reading some of these other reviews makes me question the person doing the review. It sounds like they want a doctor to cater to them and have them call the shots instead of the doctor who was trained for his job.
