This is your most bare-boned scenic overlook off the George Washington Memorial Parkway going west. There are no public restrooms and no trails (that I could see). It's just a good spot to catch a breath, enjoy seasonal changes on the trees, having a simple picnic on the rocky half wall, or maybe even to pop "the question" if you so desire. There are no lampposts so it gets very dark at night.

Beautiful scenery. Stunning views.
In the fall, you get to see the amazing colors of the trees blend in and the views of the Potomac River.
Such a blessing to have this beautiful place close by.
Take the kids for a morning or afternoon walk on the weekends. I take my out of town guests here as well and they are always mesmerized by the beautiful views.

Easy in and out on the GW Parkway when going west. Simple on and off with parking as its a one way overlook. Nice views of the Potomac River. Never really crowded either and free.

This is a nice scenic overview of the Patomac River. Be sure not to miss it in a nice weather.
