I have known Sharon for many years and have always been impressed by her knowledge, and understanding of what kids need. Each of her staff shows that same enthusiasm. I have been there at all hours and see how well this team works together to give the best care to these adorable children. The children generally arrive with a smile and excitment that carries through their full session. I would (and have) highly recommend ABCKIDS, the team and the wonderful Sharon. They are truly awesome!
We have been using the services of ABC Kids Therapy for over 5 years. The entire group is kind and helpful. We have seen outstanding progress in our children's speech.
I have known Sharon Coale for about 20 years. She had provided speech therapy services to my daughters when they were younger, (starting about age 5) but has consistently gone way above what is required in a single hour-long session. Ms. Coale and her staff also look beyond just "speech" related issue to see the whole person, and to figure out what is really going on, and then to find solutions that will work in the practical world. This is a skill that is far more valuable than simple testing and weekly therapy, although ABC excels in both of those areas.
Ms. Coale is also a fabulous resource for other services in the community, and has an extensive network of contacts that often come in handy, when a family may need tutoring, or related therapies, or testing beyond that of a speech therapist.
Most significantly, Ms. Coale develops a true rapport with children, and then is able to provide the help they need. I have seen how the kids love working with her, and usually that is more than half the battle.
I highly recommend her as a therapist.
Our son has been going to ABC Kids Therapy for the past few years and he loves it. Ms. Coale, Ms. Marni and the rest of the staff have been amazing by integrating play and reading into the therapy. We initially brought our son in due to both articulation and related behavioral issues he experienced at his Pre-school when he was 3 years old. They were able to assess our son's needs and tailor their interventions in a way that is helping him maximize both his development and potential. Their professionalism and care were evident from the beginning, putting our son's needs above even their own at times. This is something other speech therapists we tried were not willing to do. With regular therapy, our son now rarely exhibits behavioral issues at home and school. His conversational skills and articulation have also improved, giving him more confidence and lessening the stress and frustration he had previously experiences trying to communicate simple things to family, friends, and teachers. Although he still needs some work, he continues to progress nicely with ABC every week and I am confident that he will become the articulate communicator he has the potential to be in no time!
